PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE FILLING THE FORM
A. General Instructions
Parents should be aware of AFS admission guidelines and shall abide by AFS rules and regulations.
1. If any parent submits wrong information, the application for admission of his / her ward will be rejected and if required legal action may be initiated against him / her.
2. Parent shall full-fill all the desired conditions and possess all relevant documents to support his / her statements.
B. FOR ADMISSION IN CLASSES LKG TO VIII
Admission test shall not be conducted for admission to Class LKG to VIII and the admission may be granted based on priority category system (1 to 6 or 7 as the case may be). If applications are more than the number of seats, lottery system will be followed in each category (Please refer para E below for guidelines as admission priorities).
C. FOR ADMISSION IN CLASS IX
(i) For admission to Class IX, an admission test shall be conducted and a merit list will be prepared for each category of priority separately. Admission shall be granted in the sequence of priority categories in the order of merit.
(ii) Admission test shall be conducted in the subjects: Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science and Science.
(iii) The admission test will comprise of 01 paper for 3 Hours duration & 100 marks for subjects Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science & Science (each subject carries 20 marks).
(iv) Candidates must secure 33% marks in aggregate to qualify in admission test. (Please refer Para E below for guidelines as admission priorities).
D. For admission in class XI (As per AFS Guidelines 2018 - 19)
AFS Students: Admission in different streams viz Science and Commerce of Class XI in AFS will be based on Percentage (%) scored in class X examination as under:
(i) Science Stream : A Minimum of 70% Marks.
(ii) Commerce Stream : A Minimum of 60% Marks.
Note:- If seats remain vacant in class XI even after admitting the children of AF Schools then the admissions to Non – Air Force children may be granted on the same criteria in the sequence of categories of priority.
However, there could be instances of lower enrolment in Class XI in AF School, especially those located in hard stations and remote areas after applying the above criteria for admission. In such an eventuality the Principal may send the proposal of lowering the eligibility criteria for various streams along with the details of registration, No. of eligible students, etc. to the Chairman, Air Force School, Jaipur. The Chairman, AF School may use her/his discretion in lowering the eligibility criteria to the extent as indicated below:-
(a) Science Stream : A Minimum of 70%.
(b) Commerce Stream : A Minimum of 60%.
(Please refer Para E below for guidelines as admission priorities).
THE FOLLOWING CONCESSIONS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR ADMISSION FOR CLASS XI.
The following concession will be granted to students for admission who participated in Games & Sports meet/Scouting & Guiding/NCC/Adventure activities at various levels. The certificate needed for this purpose can be of any of the preceding years.

Maximum concession under Sports/Games/NCC/Scout/Guide/Adventure will not exceed 0.75% in Marks .In case of eligibility for more than one concession under different categories as mentioned at (a) and (b) above, only one concession having maximum advantage to the candidate will be allowed (The same benefit may be extended to Non-Air Force School Students for fresh admission in the school.
E. Instructions to fill the form:
A. DETAILS OF CHILD
(i) Name: should be written in capital letters.
(ii) Gender: Please select appropriate field Male/Female/Transgender.
(iii) Category: Gen/SC/ST/OBC- Select appropriate field.
(iv) Differently abled: If it is applicable, then select appropriate field and fill required details.
(v) Date of Birth: Please enter as per birth certificate of your ward issued by competent authority. For admissions to class XI, please enter as per Class X Passing Certificate issued by board.
(vi) Age as on: Kindly note that the minimum age for class LKG will be 3 years and maximum 5 years as on 31 Mar 2018, with a 2 year relaxation in upper age limit of PH candidates. Child born on 1st April will also be eligible for admission to Class I. For class II & above class age eligibility criteria is as per table below:

(xi) Service Category: Choose appropriate service category from priorities in admission as per AFS Admission Guidelines.
F. PRIORITIES IN ADMISSION
The following priorities shall be followed in granting admissions:
Priority I. Children of serving and deceased (whilst on active service)IAF Officers, Airmen and NCs(E).
Priority II.
(i) Children of serving Air Force School staff (whose spouse is not a serving Air Force Officer, Airman or NC(E)).
(ii) Children of serving DSC personnel posted to Air Force units.
(iii) Children of serving civilian staff of Air Force units paid out of Defence Services Estimates.
(iv) Children of serving NPF employees.
(v) Children of serving civilian MES personnel
Priority III. Children of Air Force Officers, Airmen and NCs(E) who have superannuated from service
Priority IV. Children of Air Force Officers, Airmen and NCs(E) who have left service on Premature Separation from Service (PSS) or on completion of period of Regular Engagement (RE), before the age of superannuation.
Priority V. Biological/legal grand-children of serving and retired (both superannuated as well as those who have gone out on PSS/completion of RE)Air Force Officers, Airmen and NCs(E)
Priority VI Children of serving Army/Navy/Para Military Forces personnel, GREF and TA.Priority VII. All other children, including children of foreign nationals/NRIs.
