Admission Guidelines

New Academic Session from 01 Apr 24 to 31 Mar 25

  1. AGE Limit (CLASS):     Nursery – 03 to 05 Years         LKG – 04 to 06 years
    (As on 01 Apr 2024)     UKG       – 05 to 07 years         I        – 06 to 08 years
     
  2. For Admission In Classes  LKG TO VIII
    Admission test shall not be conducted for admission to Class LKG to VIII and the admission may be granted based on Priority category system (1 to 6 or 7 as the case may be). If applications are more than the number of seats available lottery system will be followed in each category. (Please refer Para 4 below for guidelines as admission priorities).
  3. For Admission In Class IX
    (i)    For admission to Class IX, an admission test shall be conducted and a merit list will be prepared for each category of priority separately. Admission shall be granted in the sequence of priority categories in the order of merit.
    (ii)    Admission test shall be conducted in the subjects: Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science and Science.
    (iii)   The admission test will comprise of 01 paper for 3 Hours duration & 100 marks for subjects Hindi, English, Mathematics, Social Science & Science (each subject carries 20 marks).
    (iv)    Candidates must secure 33% marks in aggregate to qualify in admission test. (Please refer Para 4 below for guidelines as admission priorities).
     
  4. Priorities In Admission:-  The following priorities shall be followed in granting admissions:-
    (a)    Priority I :-  Children of serving and deceased (whilst on active service)IAF Officers, Airmen and NCs(E).

    (b)    Priority II.
    (i)    Children of serving Air Force School staff (whose spouse is not a serving Air Force Officer, Airman or NC(E)).
    (ii)    Children of serving Armed Forces personnel posted to MES at that Station.
    (iii)    Children of serving DSC personnel posted to Air Force units. 
    (iv)    Children of serving civilian staff of Air Force units paid out of Defence Services Estimates. 
    (v)    Children of serving NPF employees. 
    (vi)    Children of serving civilian MES personnel. 

    (c)    Priority III.
    (i)    Children of Air Force Officers, Airmen and NCs(E) who have superannuated from service and children of serving Army personnel.
    (ii)    Children of Air Force Officers, Airmen and NCs(E) who have left service on Premature Separation from Service(PSS) or on completion of period of Regular Engagement(RE),before the age of superannuation.
    (iii)    Children of serving Army/Navy/Para Military Forces personnel, GREF and TA.
    (d)    Priority IV:- Biological/legal grand-children of serving and retired (both superannuated as well as those who have gone out on PSS/completion of RE)Air Force Officers, Airmen and NCs(E).
    (e)    Priority V(Civilians/General):- All other children, including children of foreign nationals /NRIs.

 

For Admission in Class XI 
(As per AFS Guidelines 2024-25)

AFS Students: Admission in different streams viz Science and Commerce Humanities of Class XI in AFS will be based on Percentage (%) scored in class X examination as under:
    (i)     Science Stream               :    A Minimum of 70% Marks.
    (ii)    Commerce Stream    :    A Minimum of 60% Marks.
    (iii)     Humanities             :      A Minimum of 55% Marks.
Note:-  If seats remain vacant in class XI even after admitting the children of AF Schools then the admissions to Non- Air Force children may be granted on the same criteria in the sequence of categories of priority.
However, there could be instances of lower enrolment in Class XI in AF School, especially those located in hard stations and remote areas after applying the above criteria for admission. In such an eventuality the Principal may send the proposal of lowering the eligibility criteria for various streams along with the details of registration, No. of eligible students, etc. to the Chairman, Air Force School, Jaipur. The Chairman, AF School may use her/his discretion in lowering the eligibility criteria to the extent as indicated below:-
    (i)     Science Stream               :    A Minimum of 70% Marks.
    (ii)    Commerce Stream    :    A Minimum of 60% Marks.

The following concessions will be allowed for admission for class XI
The following concession will be granted to students for admission who participated in Games & Sports meet/Scouting & Guiding/NCC/Adventure activities at various levels. The certificate needed for this purpose can be of any of the preceding years.

Maximum concession under Sports/Games/NCC/Scout/Guide/Adventurewill not exceed 0.75% in Marks. Incase of eligibility for more than on concession under different categories as mentioned at (a) and (b) above, only one concession having maximum advantage to the candidate will be allowed (The same benefit may be extended to Non Air Force Students for fresh admission in the school.)
